Fun Fact - Calorie Needs for Infants

Infants require TWICE as many calories per pound of body weight than teenagers or adults!

For example: Breastmilk has 20 Calories per ounce, just like formula. Therefore, a 7-pound newborn requires approximately 350 Calories a day - 18 ounces of Breastmilk.
